Diagonal pinhead stitch

I have noticed a resurgence of interest in the diagonal pinhead stitch. I did a small tutorial on The Diagonal Pinhead way back in 2010. It's funny how these things re-emerge every few years as if they had just been invented. When I did my post in 2010 I had made the technique up for myself but I don't for one minute think I invented it. it will have been thought of before and no doubt been used since the first crosses were ever put into fabric. 

Train of Dreams update

After many years languishing in a pillow case under the dining table I worked on Train Of Dreams again. It makes a nice colourful change from all the greys of The Witching Hour.

Mini The Witching Hour by Lisa Parker

The Witching Hour, mini, by Lisa Parker charted by Heaven and Earth Designs.

I started off doing this on the diagonal but straightened up because I wanted to stitch the eyes and ears sooner.

Stitching 1 over 1 on 28 count plum blossom jobelan.
