More Cat Shenanigans

Since the fight with an interloping cat our cat developed a strange tendency to hiss at the bath. We had all noticed it but as one tends to be in the bathroom alone (except for the cat) it was some time before we became aware that it had happened more than once. I puzzled over this for a while and concluded that at some point the interloping cat had rubbed itself along the bath and the scent was upsetting our cat. Cleaning it didn't stop her hissing. More detective work was called for and

Short sleeve with picot edge

Finished a sleeve last night on a cotton top I started. I've put a picture on my fairly new knitting site

We awoke very early this morning due to an interloping cat squeezing in under the bolier house door. The resulting fight with our cat, pictured here, (how come cats love to sit on paper ?) saw me hoovering up cat fur at 6.30 this morning. It is certainly a cheeky cat. I have shooed it out a few times when it has sneaked in through an open window (and one time even helped itself to some food out of a pan on the hob)but to actually squeeze under a door! It can't be starving, it was a very large cat, I think it is just very greedy.

Widdy

This Young Morecambrian turned 18 recently.

When my Daughter was little she called him Widdy, which sounds nothing like his name.

His Mum is on the Giraffe, with his Uncle. I think that's me in the background, Auntie Fran, but I'm not sure as I remember my hair being a lot darker. They spent many hours on the Giraffe because the part that took the money was faulty and gave you the coin back . Tatty Teddy WIP

Tatty Teddy is nearing completion of the cross stitching part. There's a hec of a lot of backstitching still to do, to get the tatty effect.

Horlicks Shortage in Morecambe

Darling daughter and I trudged round all the shops in town today and there's not so much as a grain of chocolate flavoured Horlicks to be had. We were too tired to trail down to Morrisons but when I do eventually get there I shall buy as much as I can carry. Meanwhile, I found this recipe using non chocolate Horlicks. I had heard that iced Horlicks was becoming popular and judging by the comments on the recipe it is one to try as soon as I get hold of a banana, if not before.
