I picked up Purple Perfection again today for the first time in ages.

I'm sure it will look lovely in my hall if I ever finish it but it is one of those designs that takes ages before all the shades merge and start to look like anything in particular. I have been yearning to start Royal Holiday.

The Sims 2 money cheat

I mentioned the sims 2 a while ago and have had quite a few people arriving here via a search for sims. So, here's a treat for you, as I know you might be disappointed to find just this little blog and not a vast Sims emporium. To get 50,000 extra simoleans do the control shift c thing like on the sims 1 and type in motherlode. If you want to just limit yourself to 1,000 type in kaching. Now you can afford that hot tub and start making babies!

I have added to this post as I am receiving a lot of e-mail etc just asking how to activate the cheat console. Here's how.
To enter cheats in The Sims 2, first open the command console by simultaneously pressing the ctrl key the shift key (the key above ctrl usually) and the c key. Enter the cheat code and press enter. Do this while you are playing the game and your sims are pottering about. Keep in mind that the money does not appear on screen, like a reward, you may think nothing has happened until you notice your money total has increased.
It works for me when motherlode is typed all lower case but others have found it only works with a capital M and the rest lower case. Maybe it depends on your operating system, I don't know.

2008 - I am closing comments on this post, which was originally written in 2004. I haven't played The Sims for a long time and cannot keep up with the e-mail and comments asking for help, as the game has moved on since I used to play it. One day I hope to have time to buy all the new expansion packs, load them up and immerse myself in the world of The Sims, but I don't see that happening any time very soon. Most answers to help questions can be found amongst the previous comments and replies.

The Sims 2

I managed to secure a copy of The sims 2 this evening in ASDA's. Darling daughter was thrilled but I told her not to get her hopes up as the PC has been a heap of dung since Sir's mate partitioned it. Needless to say it wouldn't load so I thought I'd go and try and load it on the other partition. So far so good, it bagan installing but then informed me that there was not enough space. I could not believe that but I checked never the less. Imagine my horror to find 100 Gig of steam train video. 100 gigabytes, not megabytes. I know it is because he must be in the middle of editing and it will compress right down, hopefully, but to think of all that space full of an old train when we could have been immersed in the new sim world. We are buying a laptop this week and he can take his trains up to the attic on it. I'll even make him some butties and a flask of tea but he can buy his own anarak.

Saturday Night

I taped "beauty" tonight because I knew I would miss it trailing about taking sir to the pub. I watched it later on and afterwards, not being particularly sleepy, I logged on to the internet and just out of the blue typed "incredible love story" into google. This was the result, bless 'em.
