Sir and I had a nice walk the other day. Part of the walk took us past the old Winter gardens and I noticed someone had put a banner in an upstairs window advertising The Winter gardens Morecambe. It took me a few tries as it's quite an unwieldly url but I finally typed it in correctly and had a wonderfull tour of the inside of this poor neglected building. I remember seeing shows there as a kid. It was nice to see that it hasn't been totally gutted. There has been talk recently of turning it into a stage school. I hope something can be done. I didn't attend this show, I'm not quite that old, but was this place popular once ot not?
We had intended to continue the walk to The Royal in Heysham but it looked like it was due to rain so we dined in "upstairs and downstairs" instead.
Busy day on Morecambe beach
