At last, Tatty Teddy is finished. The trouble is, I usually forget all about having it framed. I have more cross stitch pieces languishing in drawers than I actually have on my walls. In this case, though, I'm sure Darling Daughter will keep reminding me to frame it. Just like she had to remind me to actually finish it. I don't think that I would ever stitch a Tatty Teddy design again;way too much backstitching to get the tatty effect. Once I decided not to worry about adhering to the chart too closely, and just stitched the "tattiness" roughly the same, it was a lot less of a strain on the eyes.

I stitched this one a few months back for an Evenweave round robin. Backstitching is a nightmare but well worth it in the end. They're sooooo cute!!

i love your tatty teddy cross stitch i had the same trouble when i did my first cross stitch but it was well worth the time. i love tatty teddies that much i'm looking for a patterns for hand knitting if you no anyone that may have one could you ask if they will email me a copy.thankyou and happy sewing
