I had been growing my hair for about a year but since I've been exercising more it has become a nuisance. I'd be in Downward Dog pose at yoga and sweat would be dripping off the ends of my hair onto my mat and I couldn't see the instructor through the mass of upside down hair; yet it wouldn't quite tie back easily. In the gym I would be aware of a gradual dripping sensation off the ends, and my fringe becoming plastered unbecomingly across my forehead. It took longer to wash and style and I just generally didn't do much with it to warrant having it long. I had it chopped off today and coloured red. My partner, who I thought only noticed me when he wanted his tea making or a shirt ironed, declared "oh, I liked it long, it looked nice." Shame he never mentioned it before it all ended up in the bin at the salon.
