An item at Diet Blog caught my attention today and reminded me of my post about oats quite a long time ago. Diet Blog says

Ingredients: Whole grain rolled oats, whey protein isolate, maltodextrin, natural and artificial flavors, salt, oat flour, calcium carbonate, guar gum, caramel color, soy lecithen, acesulfame potassium, sucralose, niacinamide*, vitamin a palmitate, reduced iron, pyridoxine hydrochloride*, riboflavin*, thiamin mononitrate*, folic acid*. *one of the b vitamins contains milk and soy ingredients.
Time to break out the Oat Recipes.






Oats are good - they seem to last all day. Whenever I have a long run I always tank up on oats beforehand.

I have oats every morning for breakfast. Rather than loading it up with sugar etc, I add chopped up dates (about 6 dates to the bowl). I just throw the oats and chopped dates in a bowl and cover with boiling water. Leave to stand for 10 minutes or so while I get the kids' breakfasts ready, and it's ready to eat. Easy peasy!
